Responsible Travel

River safety and having a good time aside, one of our major concerns at Adrenaline Rush Nepal is the environment and the state of our precious rivers. When you take a trip with us please be assured that we are acting in an environmentally responsible manner, we carry in all we need and take out all our rubbish, avoid encouraging the cutting down of trees for fuel, bury all our toilet wastes well away form river sources and only use biodegradable soaps and detergents We make camp fires in the evening only when there is drift wood available and we do not buy wood for fires from the local villages as this encourages deforestation. We also carry with us treated water for drinking so you don’t have to bring along plastic drinking water bottles.

Rafting NepalWe are also committed to our local community and the communities surrounding the rivers that we use. We use only locally, fresh and organic produce for cooking, employ local people on and off the river. Our guides are all qualified and 100% Nepalese. Besides this the people who work behind the scenes to make your rafting tri pa success are all local people, from the bus driver to the porters we use to lug our gear on longer trips. You can rest assured that when you take to Nepal’s rivers or trails with us your money stays in Nepal and supports local communities and we take all measures to keep our rivers clean and safe for generations to come.

Also you should apply some basic things to show your respect for the local culture, only take photographs of people with their approval, dress modestly and observe the way the local people act in public and follow suit as best as you can,. Things like kissing and holding hands in public are not generally done in Nepal and you should pay particular attention when visiting temples and sacred sites, check that you are allowed to enter and also take photos and it’s normal to remove your shoes. These basic rules and some good common sense when it comes to local etiquette and respecting other customs and cultures applies to rafting, trekking and all activities in Nepal. If you come to Nepal to enjoy this beautiful country why not do your best to ensure its still in the same condition for future generations of travellers?

Travel responsibly for the future of the community and the environment.
