Himalayan Whitewater Rafting

ImageAt Adrenaline Rush Nepal, we love rafting, not just the white water fun, but the whole package, camping on sandy beaches, star filled night skies, glimpses of snow capped peaks, meeting the local people and joining in the fun, music and dancing with the guides at night times. Rafting is a real “Nepal experience” and if you love water and nature as well as culture then spend some time exploring some of Nepal’s rivers.

In Nepal, the white water enthusiast is spoilt for choice with numerous rivers carving and roaring their way down from the mighty Himalaya. Some of the remoter rivers offer longer rafting trips which incorporate some trekking. These kinds of trips are truly trips of a life time as you have to bring with you everything you need and be totally self reliant and sufficient. These rivers churn out their courses through some of the most pristine wilderness and isolated villages that Nepal has to offer.

In Nepal you will truly find some of the world’s most outstanding river journeys, but its not just about the river, its about the experience, the life long friends you are going to make and the memories of a culture and country that are going to live with you forever.

The Best Season

The time to come to Nepal for rafting depends upon the river that you want to raft; you can see from each itinerary that each river has a peak time for rafting. Generally speaking, however, the best time to come to Nepal for rafting is from mid September until the end of November, when the weather is fair and the majority of rivers are open. March through to April is also a good time when the rivers are fed from the snow melt. Some of the lesser grade rivers can also be run during the early monsoon months of June and July. Please refer to each River for its peak time.
