When undergoing a rafting trip with Adrenaline Rush you should consider bringing along the following items. During the winter months, October through to December you will need substantially warmer clothes than in the early season, March through to June. You should limit your luggage to what can be carried in a day pack and we will supply you with a dry bag to stow your luggage in while rafting. You will only have access to your pack when we reach camp in the afternoons. THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING:- Sandals or light trainers-to wear in the raft, they must be able to be strapped firmly to your feet so you don’t loose them should you fall out. They will get wet so you may wish to bring a pair of thongs (Flip Flops) for around camp.
- Tee-shirt and shorts- this is adequate for wear during the day and can easily be dried out for the next day in the afternoon sunshine.
- Pants, fleece jacket/jumper- warm clothes for the night time are essential, good quality light weight fleece is recommended. In the colder season bring along a woolen hat as well.
- A towel – the best way to dry yourself off after a day on the river.
- Toiletries- only the basics you will need, i.e. toothbrush and tooth paste and some soap. Toilet paper and antibacterial hand soap will be supplied for you. You will not have access to showers or bathrooms along the way.
- Sun cream/sunglasses – most important you need to protect yourself from the strong sun. Make sure your sunglasses have a cord to go around your neck.
- Water bottle- it’s a good idea to bring your own water bottle with a clip for use while in the raft. It can get very hot during some months and keeping yourself hydrated is important.
- Torch and batteries- you will be in a camp with no power. Candles will be supplied around the camp site.
- Personal reading or writing materials/a pack of cards- good to while away the evenings in the camp.
- Snacks and drinks/cigarettes- these things you will not be able to buy along the way in most areas, so if you like chocolate or like to smoke then bring them along. Alcohol is not supplied so if you wish you can bring along a bottle to fill in your night times.
PLEASE NOTE: regarding your breakable items like Cameras and Ipods, etc, we carry on the raft a hard case water proof box which is padded and designed to keep your camera and personal items safe and dry for use around camp and at lunch stops. |
